Why we built Vegarden
It started with a balcony, a few pots, and a lot of advice written for somebody else's garden.
I wanted to grow vegetables at home. Every guide I found assumed another hemisphere, another climate, or a backyard I did not have — and none of them could tell me what to do this week with the four hours of afternoon sun I actually get.
So I started building the tool I wanted to use. Hi, I'm Leandro. I'm a developer and home gardener in Argentina, and Vegarden is built by me, with a lot of help from gardeners who report bugs, request features and tell me when a plant profile is wrong.
The idea is simple: tell Vegarden about your space, and it turns that into a plan. What to plant, when to sow it, how much water it needs, and which small task matters today. The AI does the adapting so you can spend your time with your hands in the soil.
It is still early. Some parts are polished, others are rough, and the roadmap is public so you can see exactly what is coming next — and push it in a better direction.

Start where you are
A single pot on a windowsill is a garden. Vegarden has to be useful before you own a single tool or a square metre of soil.
Honest over impressive
When the data on a plant is thin or a recommendation is uncertain, we say so instead of inventing a confident answer.
Built in the open
The roadmap, changelog and feedback board are public. Most of what ships was asked for by someone using the app.
Your garden, your data
We do not sell your data or build ad profiles from it. Export it or delete your account whenever you want.

Tell us about your space
Onboarding asks a handful of questions: where you are, how much sun the spot gets, and how much time you want to spend each week.

Pick your plants
Browse the plant database and get suggestions that fit your climate, season and light — not a generic top-ten list.

Design your containers
Lay out beds, pots and containers visually. Vegarden checks spacing, companions and sun exposure while you arrange them.

Track and harvest
Watering and care tasks land on your calendar. Log growth, flag problems early, and record every harvest as it comes in.
How we treat your data
Gardening data is personal — it says where you live and what your home looks like. We treat it that way.
We collect what the garden needs
Your approximate location, sun exposure and container details exist to make recommendations accurate. We do not ask for more than that.
No selling, no ad profiles
Your garden data is never sold, rented or handed to advertisers. Vegarden is funded by subscriptions, not by your data.
Yours to take or delete
Export your gardens or delete your account at any time, directly from your settings — no support ticket required.
